“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is another great Marvel film and one that really aims to and succeeds in boosting Chinese representation in a Hollywood film. These “Ten Rings” of representation talk through the different ways in which it helps to combat the under-representation and negative light in which many Chinese and East Asian characters are portrayed on screen.
After more than a decade in talks and production and a year later than its original release, “Black Widow” has finally been released. A much overdue origin story focusing on Natasha Romanoff, played by the ever-popular Scarlett Johansson, will this be a fitting end for her character’s era in the MCU as she comes face-to-fist with her troubled past?
“Loki” is the next long-awaited Disney+ TV series to be released this year after “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. A fan favourite character despite his tendency to be a both a supervillain and an antihero but always cocky and nearly always self-serving, what will the narcissistic but lovable “God of Mischief” get up to in this TV show centred on himself?
