Theatre Review: Anything Goes

Set in the 1930s and having first debuted during this decade, “Anything Goes” has earned its legacy as one of the oldest, long-running and most classic musicals of all time. Asian Representation and Everything Everywhere All at Once

It’s truly a complex and bizarre film with plenty of nuances and emotion, but “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is more than just a multiversal movie made to boggle the mind. It’s another step forward for Asian representation on the big Hollywood screen, exploring as many multi-faceted Asian diaspora identities as it does multiple universes and the concepts behind them and people.

Cher is a unique, inimitable superstar. And after living through seven decades she has certainly had an interesting life – one that is now being told through a jukebox musical. A fitting end to Mental Health Awareness Week was watching “Dear Evan Hansen”, the heart-wrenching yet inspirational and groundbreaking musical that addresses the ups and downs, complexities and the aftermath as well as the road to recovery when it comes to the many areas and layers of mental health.
